# Studio tool routing Reviewed 5 September 2026. The shared source of tool roles, task-specific editorial ratings and evidence is [catalogue/catalogue.json](catalogue/catalogue.json). The human views are generated from those same records: [UI](compare/ui.html), [Voice](compare/voice.html), [Images](compare/images.html), [Video](compare/video.html). Compare tools doing the same task. An application, model, hosting service and reference library are different layers. Stars are task suitability judgments, not quality benchmarks. An unrated item has insufficient evidence; it is not implicitly recommended. Check the exact model, language, input/output and runtime before use. Measured private tool behaviour remains in the private kit. This public catalogue does not contain credentials, account settings or a second copy of private runtime measurements. Existing recipes remain linked from the catalogue. Historical Pilot/Harvest/Skip labels have been replaced by explicit roles, task groups and evidence. ## Page quality checks Added 8 September 2026. These measure a finished page; they do not make one, so they sit here rather than in the media catalogue. **Chrome DevTools** (MCP `chrome-devtools`) is the only route in the whole setup that returns a number on a page: Lighthouse for accessibility, best practices, SEO and agentic browsing, a separate performance trace, the network list and a heap snapshot. Its measured behaviour lives in the private kit, per the one-doctrine rule; the first run, on this studio's own front door, is recorded there. Use it as the measured half of a page review, `/page-review` being the human half. **accessibility-review** (design plugin skill) is the only accessibility check available to a session. Government pages are the one place where that is not optional. ## Connections that do not answer Checked 8 September 2026 from the Claude Code seat. Two catalogue entries promise a route that cannot run today: **Kling** rejects its configured authorization header (HTTP 401), and **MotionSites** has never been authorized. Both need one interactive session to be repaired or signed in; until then, do not plan work on either. ## md-twin (added 14-09-2026) `9 - System/ui-ux/md-twin.py`: gives every markdown document written for humans an html twin in the house documentation style (pandoc, the documentation kit CSS inlined, marker ``, hand-made html never overwritten). Run it on a folder after editing its md. Frank's rule of 14-09-2026: there should be html for all files to be read by humans. Status: Pilot, first used on the Lesotho recovery case (34 twins).
