Format: simple table (coverage / verdict board)
Registered 2026-07-22 (Frank: "a nice format for a simple table. We should keep it as one of our standards"), from the Lesotho law-citation-links coverage board.
The idea in one line: one screen that answers "how did it go, per item" — a solid accent hero band saying what was done, a stat strip totaling the outcome, ONE table with the per-item rows and their state, a short note explaining the columns. Nothing else.
Use it for: coverage tables, verdict boards, sweep results, per-page or per-service check matrices — any "N items × a few facts + a state" report Frank reads. (Reports he reads are markdown; verdict boards and coverage tables are ALSO delivered in HTML — his 2026-07-22 nuance.)
Not for: teaching pages (/ui-doc), implementation plans (the screens-contract format), citizen leaflets.
The grammar (all in the exemplar's CSS, hex tokens)
- Hero band: one rounded solid-accent block; uppercase letter-spaced eyebrow for the context, a plain title, one sentence saying what was done + the date + where the full evidence lives.
- Stat strip: equal cells split by hairlines (a 1px-gap grid over the rule color), one big number per cell; the color carries the meaning — accent for a neutral count, green for good, amber for needs-attention; a tiny grey label under each. The strip's numbers must total the table (the reconciliation is visible on the page itself).
- The table card: one rounded white card; header row on the accent wash, small uppercase; the first column bold in the deep accent with a small grey sub-line (the item's path or id); numeric columns centered; row hover; an exception row goes muted italic.
- Badges: pill with a dot for pass (green pair), plain grey pill for neutral. The state is a word, never a color alone.
- Note card: "Reading the columns" — two or three short paragraphs; every special value in the table is explained here, not in a legend row.
- Foot: one centered line linking the evidence files (the sweep or report, the before copies).
Rules
Light theme only · project palette hex tokens (swap the accent pair to the project's colors; the exemplar wears indigo + green) · sentence case · no em dashes · self-contained, no external assets · fits one screen-width column (max-width ~980px).
